    She’s Inspiring Herself

    She’s becoming her own role-model.

She’s always looked for mentors and idols to mould herself into. Not any more.

As she evolves into a woman who begins to recognise her uniqueness, she cannot find examples to emulate. Nobody really fits the template for who she is becoming. Her path is distinctive, and like her, singular. An inner stirring informs her that this time, she has to create from the inside out.

She always had heroines and heroes in her life, but the more she’s maturing, the more she’s acknowledging her own awesomeness. Taking the power back to herself is still new to her, as is re-creating herself from her own example. She is daring deeply.

These are times of transition. She steps into this unfamiliar journey, both with trepidation and excitement. As there is no benchmark, she is free to create. If at all she looks for a mentor, it is one who asks her to believe in herself.

She’s learning to be her own source. She’s reincarnating in the same body.

As she stands in her own singularity, she fits better into her world.

    Letter from my Daughter: Brittany

    Mother Daughter

    Mom,

You are by far the most amazing woman I have ever met.  You have always been there for Danielle and me whenever and where ever we needed you. You’ve been through hell and back with us and I will never forget that you’ve stuck around through it all; even when I’m sure it would’ve been easier on you to leave. I’ve never really took the time to sit you down and say thank you for all that you’ve done for us through the years. So, thank you, I appreciate it in more ways than one. You’ve taught me so may things and I am so grateful that you are my mother and a huge part of my life. You are one of the only people I can really count on to be there when I need someone. You’re always there to listen when I call you excited about something or crying and I can’t even begging to tell you how much that means to me. You’re such an amazing person, mother, and friend. I have yet to meet someone that hasn’t fallen in love with you and your personality from just seconds of meeting you. I love that I have such a giving and devoted mother. I love you so much, bigger than the whole side world.

    Merry Christmas Mom,

    Brittany

  • Dear Mom: A Letter from my Daughter

    Dear Mom,

You have always been there for me no matter how big or small the situation. God only knows all the times my teenage years woke you from sleep at two in the morning.  Thank heaven those days are gone!!  But even when I knew I was wrong I knew I could always count on you to be on my side. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. Instilling in me all of life’s lessons including giving back. I will never forget when we volunteered for Toys for Tots and how that little task made me feel so good. Nobody can compare to your gracious and outgoing attitude in everything and everyone you encounter in life. You make people want to be better themselves just by your presence. Some of us just need a little Deirdre motivation in our lives. I just want you to know that you  are the inspiration and the light that this world needs. You have always put Brittany and I first with our passions and I am so grateful but now it is your time. Enjoy your life, don’t hold back and live like you have wings!!! My wish is for everyone to have someone that just a little resembles you in their life.  I know sometimes I give you a hard time and that you worry about where I am in my life right now but you don’t have to worry because you are my mother. You are my motivation even when I don’t want you to be … haha! You have taught me to be strong, resilient, confident, kinda and smart and everything that you are and everything you stand for. I love you with all of my heart and I hope one day I will be half the mother you are to me!

    Merry Christmas Mom,

    Danielle

  • Note from the Universe 02-03-2014

    Love these notes …

Deirdre Cavener, you know that feeling?

That sense of eagerness for the moment. Optimism for the future. And confidence that you are exactly “when” and where you should be. That feeling that makes dark days lighter and light days brighter. That precedes breakthroughs, conquests, and euphoria.

    Yes, that feeling!

    Well, it doesn’t just come.

You have to give it to yourself.

    Go on.
